Its main customer is McDonald’s, of which it is the main supplier of chicken nuggets and fish for the Brazilian chain and also supplies the totality of beef hamburgers.

It was the standard of excellence awarded by Braslo to the processing of its products that accredited the same with McDonald’s, known worldwide for their strict quality control – which demands from its suppliers production, storage, transport and handling of raw material in accordance with strict food safety standards.

The Group – The North American OSI Group has almost 100 years of experience in food processing. Its history started in 1909, when Otto Kolschowsky, a small entrepreneur, opened a small meat products store in Chicago. Today, the multinational counts on more than 12 thousand employees and 75 factories throughout the world, on all continents.

The Brazilian company – In 1982, the OSI Group created Braslo in Brazil, with the purpose of serving the McDonald’s fast food chain. Subsequently, Braslo started processing for other large food service customers, like Outback, Applebee’s, America, All Parmegiana, Lig-Lig and Jin Jin, among others, by means of the Glenmark brand. In 2002, OSI do Brasil Participações Ltda. was created to administrate Braslo and Penasul, a poultry company situated in Rio Grande do Sul.

Presently, Braslo also exports products to Europe and the Middle East and it is qualified by the Ministry of Agriculture to export to more than 30 countries. One of its highlight export lines is the “Fully Cooked”, of fully cooked products processing.
